D1 Training announces the appointment of Jake Van Der Stad as Director of Pre-Sales

Van Der Stad has spent the past 20 years in the fitness industry in positions from General Manager to Executive Vice President, joining the D1 Training team in 2023. He played an instrumental role in the oversight of as many as 56 locations generating upwards of $75 million in annual revenue, while supporting 100+ locations as a Franchise Operations Manager.As the Director of Pre-Sales, he will be responsible for building and maintaining D1’s high performing sales teams as well as new customer relationships. He aims to achieve this by combining expert strategic planning and business skills with consistent success in outperforming the competition and delivering sustainable revenue, market, and profit growth.

With more than two decades of experience within the fitness industry in numerous roles, an integral part of his work will be bringing his authentic and transparent leadership style to D1. Empowered by the mission of improving communities, he will be spearheading profitability for franchisees by ensuring their new facilities are supported throughout their opening.

According to D1 Training’s Franchise Disclosure Document, the average gross revenue for D1 franchised businesses in 2022 was $870,884 with same store revenues up 13% from the previous year*.

All locations offer three core training programs, Scholastic (Rookie, Developmental, Prep and Overtime), Adult and Pro. Each fitness program is based on the five athletic-based tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. Outside of group workouts, D1 offers one-on-one training with world-class coaches.
