D1 Training Announces Elliot Capner as Chief Commercial Officer
Global Fitness Expert Joins Rapidly Growing Sports Training Franchise
NASHVILLE – D1 Training, a leading fitness and enrichment concept that utilizes the five core tenets of athletic-based training to help people of all ages, from youth athletes to fitness-minded adults, announces the appointment of Elliot Capner as Chief Commercial Officer.
Capner is an experienced franchise executive with expertise in driving growth, operational efficiency, and transformative strategies within the health and fitness industry. He has been a corporate lawyer for more than a decade, and specializes in strategic planning, optimizing processes, and fostering partnerships to achieve business objectives.
In 2016, Capner joined F45 as Chief Operating Officer where he grew the network from 100 Studios to 2,200 Studios over 8 years. After serving at F45 as COO and Chief Commercial Officer, he transitioned to Strong Pilates, where he served as Executive Director and Strategic Advisor. He has been a consultant for Xponential Fitness and D1 Training, where he now begins a more permanent role.
"I’m thrilled to officially join the D1 Training HQ team. Having consulted with D1 HQ for some time, what truly stands out to me is the remarkable quality of people and the deep-rooted values of the organization,” Capner said. “Led by Will Bartholomew and Dan Murphy, the D1 team embodies a shared passion for excellence, which aligns perfectly with my commitment to working with both outstanding people and a top-tier product. D1's innovative approach to training and its rich history of transforming individuals of all ages into athletes is inspiring—countless college and pro athletes have come through the D1 system, which speaks volumes about the strength of this model. I’m incredibly excited to start this journey and to work alongside our franchise partners as we continue building on D1's legacy."
D1 Training has over 130 facilities open nationwide, with more than 250 in development.
The industry remains strong as ever, with an untapped growth potential in scholastic training. The competitive landscape of youth sports is ever changing and having access to a place like D1 - where young athletes can hone their skills – is becoming increasingly important. This paired with D1’s adult and personal training programs provides an unmatched opportunity.
"Elliot's appointment as Chief Commercial Officer allows D1 to execute plays at the next level," said Dan Murphy, COO of D1 Training. "Elliot is familiar with our brand and mission, and brings unique expertise, experience, and passion to D1. We have already seen the impact he has made as a consultant. It's going to be exciting to see what our team can accomplish as we enter this new phase of growth at D1.”
All D1 Training locations offer three core training programs, Scholastic (Rookie, Developmental, Prep and Overtime), a robust Adult Training program, as well as training for professional athletes. Each fitness program is based on the five athletic-based tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. Outside of group workouts, D1 offers one-on-one training with world-class coaches.
