The D1 Mission: To Be the Place for the Athlete

At D1 Training, an athlete is anyone with a goal. Whether it is a 7-year-old playing their first season of sports or an adult committed to getting stronger and more confident, we meet you where you are and help you reach your goals.

That is the mission behind every D1 facility, and it is held together by four core values that guide how coaches show up, how owners lead, and how every athlete is served.

The result is a fitness facility where clients are not just members, they are athletes with coaches in their corner and a community behind them.

Four core values

Our mission is reinforced by four core values that guide how decisions are made and how people show up.

Be a team player
Have passion for our work
Find a way, make a smart play
Have D1 character

A Training Model That Reinforces the Culture

Because D1 is coach-led and structured, the culture is never left to chance.

Every training session is intentional. Every athlete is known. Every program meets them where they are.

These systems help members stay engaged and support coaches in delivering consistent, high-quality training. For owners, the model provides a clear framework and operational guidance for running a facility effectively.

Built to Serve More Than One Type of Member

Another key difference is how the D1 model is structured to serve both youth and adult athletes within the same facility.

Most gyms rely almost entirely on adult memberships. D1 is intentionally designed to reach athletes at multiple stages of life, which creates both deeper community impact and multiple revenue streams.

Youth athletes often begin in our Rookie or Developmental programs, where they are introduced to structured training in a supportive, team-oriented environment. As they grow, many continue into our Prep program with more advanced performance goals, including high school and collegiate athletics.

At the same time, our adult training programs provide a clear path for individuals who want to build strength, improve performance, prevent injury, and stay healthy long-term. These sessions are rooted in the same performance principles—intentional, measurable, and coach-led.

Because of this, it’s common for entire families to be part of a D1 facility. Athletes stay longer. Relationships deepen. And the business benefits from consistent, recurring engagement across age groups.

Real Members. Real Communities. Real Impact.

A Different Way to Build a Fitness Business

Most training concepts compete on membership price. D1 focuses on results. Athletes choose D1 because the coaching is intentional, the community is real, and the results speak for themselves.

If you’re looking to build a business with local impact, D1 offers a model designed to do exactly that.
