D1 Billings opened on June 10th, 2024.
The new D1 Training location is owned by Sy Johnson, Mikey Rider, and Larry Iverson. While living in Nashville, Johnson learned about D1 Training and loved the concept. After moving back home to Billings, he teamed up with Rider and Iverson to open the first D1 Training location in Montana. Having played sports from childhood up to the collegiate level, all three agree that this is a concept they would have appreciated growing up, a place with a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere that promotes fitness and comradarie for all ages.
βD1 Training is a fitness concept that helps foster the desire for fitness and exercise starting at a young age,β said Iverson. βIt is a concept that gives kids and teenagers confidence and helps them develop skill sets that they will take into adulthood. Equally as important are the adults. At D1 Training Billings, every athlete, no matter their age or background, will be welcomed, encouraged, and pushed to help meet their athletic goals.β
